As an ecologically focused business, as hoteliers and hosts, we take our responsibility towards the environment very seriously, always respectful of our precious natural resources and doing our level best to ensure a beautiful, pristine and healthy ecosystem.
We treat nature with respect and care in every aspect of our daily business. Which includes, of course, exclusive use of organic products, primarily from our immediate region.
Also when it comes to our homemade cakes and tortes, we only use the highest-quality ingredients. And that's something you can taste immediately...
WATER & energy
Throughout the hotel, we only use fixtures that save water and energy as well as LED lighting, lowering our energy costs and simultaneously cutting back on natural resources.
On the roof of our main house, we installed a photovoltaic system on all available and sensibly usable surfaces in order to cover as much of our electricity consumption as possible with ecologically self-generated electricity.
For the installation we again trusted the company Elektro Strobl as well as the company Lainer Installationen.
WOOD
Our room furniture was manufactured exclusively from native woods. Wood is wonderfully fragrant, creating a warm and sensual living environment.
For years, we have relied on the excellent work of the Lindenthaler joinery.
LOCAL ARTISANS
For us, it is also important to support our local craftsmen and craftswomen. That said, only those who come from within a radius of 20 kilometers are ever allowed to "lay their hands" on the Kranzbichlhof.
SUPPLIERS
Our beer comes from the "Trumer" private brewery located in the Salzburg lakes region
Our organic milk products are delivered directly from the "Berchtesgadener Land" dairy.
Biokäserei Pötzelsberger in Adnet supplies us with their multiple-award-winning cheeses.
Austrian company "Sonnentor" is our source for our wide selection of organic teas, while Bavarian coffee roastery "Dinzler" guarantees exceptional organic coffee.
The eggs for breakfast and our homemade cakes are personally delivered by the local farmer Schmiedbauer.
And the honey comes from our family's very own hives.
We receive bread and bakery specialties from the Haubis company.
CLEANING
Effective microorganisms and cleaning methods using dry steam guarantee a healthy room climate. In this way, we are able to avoid using chemicals that place unnecessary burdens on our lungs or the environment.
GARDEN
Our 13,000 m² park, filled with an astonishing variety of flora, is maintained with boundless love and no use of chemicals whatsoever.
NATURAL SWIMMING POND
The word "natural" says it all... Plants clean the pond without us having to add any chemicals whatsoever. Pure nature!
HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS
We are committed to using high-quality materials, something our guests notice immediately. That includes sustainable beauty products in our rooms and sauna area, no packaging of individual portions at our breakfast buffet or in any other form of catering, and no use of plastic straws. We also try to work as far as possible paper-free.
