Tauern Autobahn | Hallein exit, through the city of Hallein on the Salzachtalstraße (B159) in the direction of Salzburg, just before leaving the Hallein city limits turn right onto Dürrnbergstraße. Stay on this road until, ca. 100 meters before the German border, you will see the Kranzbichlhof on the right-hand side. |

Via Anif, Niederalm and Rif – in the direction of Kaltenhausen – ca. 1 km after Kaltenhausen turn left onto Dürrnbergstraße. Stay on this road until, about 100 meters before the German border, you see the Kranzbichlhof on the right-hand side. |
Coming from Berchtesgaden |
Follow the Salzburgerstraße (B305) in the direction of Markt Schellenberg. In Unterau, turn right onto Auerstraße (B319) and stay on this road for about 1 km. From Oberau, follow the Roßfeldstraße for ca. 2 km until you reach Bad Dürrnberg and Hotel

Number 160 and 170 buses | From Salzburg, you can choose either bus No. 160 (via Puch) or bus No. 170 (via Anif). Get off at the stop for "Hallein
Bahnhof" and change to the No. 41 bus for Bad Dürrnberg. Get off at the stop for Hotel Kranzbichlhof. |
S3 suburban railway | From Salzburg Main Station, take the S3 train to Hallein railway station, then catch the No. 41 bus to Bad Dürrnberg, getting off at the stop for Hotel Kranzbichlhof. |
Coming from Germany, you can also travel via the highest panorama road in Germany - the Roßfeld Panorama Street. This takes you up to an altitude of 1,570 metres into the high alpine mountain world of Berchtesgaden.
Be sure to take a break here and enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains on the crest stretch. There is also a kiosk here with information, drinks and snacks. Do you feel like it? Then discover the beauty of the Alps on a hike along the Panorama Circular Trail with an unforgettable view of Berchtesgaden, as well as Salzburg and the Berchtesgaden and Austrian Alps.
On the way to us, you will pass various sights, such as the Almbachklamm. Here you can stretch your feet during a walk through the gorge.
When hunger sets in, a further trip to the Hofbrauhaus in Berchtesgaden is a good tip!
Those who still have time and feel like it can make a detour to the nearby Königssee before the journey ends at the Hotel Kranzbichlhof.
After your arrival at the hotel, move into your feel-good room and enjoy coffee and homemade cake from the hotel's own Café Salzkristall on the sun terrace with a view of the Untersberg.
